Pyro Work Shop

These pictures show a pyro workshop that was built by one of our members.  The shop is build incorporating many safety features.  For more information about this shop send e-mail to shubing@tznet.com.

This is a Pyro Workshop constructed by one of our club members.  The building is 24 ft wide X 36 ft long with 9 ft walls.  The enclosed portions is 22 ft long by 24 ft deep.  The outside portion is 14ft wide by 24 ft deep.  Walls are of 2X6 construction for better insulation.  It's heated with hot water (hydronic) running through the cement floor.
There is a "mechanical room" located in the corner of the building.  This 6X6  room is sealed from the rest of the building and has it's own outside entrance door.  The room contains the heating equipment, electrical, an air compressor, and of course a small refrigerator for refreshments.
The inside pyro building portion of the building has lots of windows for natural light.  The concrete heated floor and work bench tops are painted with static dissipative paint.
There are two exit doors for the pyro building room.  The doors are located on each side of the room and not more than 25 feet from any place within the room.
Once of the features of this building is a large 9 foot insulated garage door that can be opened during nice weather.
Explosion proof lighting lights the building.  All of these lighting fixtures were gotten off from e-bay at very reasonable prices.
Here you can see the outside portion of the workshop with the garage door open.  You can also see both exit/entrance doors.  Notice the large star roller sitting next to the garage door.  All dusty pyro operations are done in this outside area.
This shows the inside of the workshop with the big door open.  The door to the left of the garage door leads to a  6 ft  X 14 ft storage area.
Another inside shot, showing  the 20 ft work bench.
