Press
Presses are used to make may kinds of fireworks such as rockets, drivers, and fountains. They can be powered mechanically (arbor press), hydraulically, or by air. Using a press to make fireworks should only be done with the proper experience and safety precautions (like a blast shield).
Commercial H-Frame Hydraulic Press

This is a commercially made H-frame press.
The 10 ton hydraulic ram is single acting and is spring loaded for the return
stroke. Actual pressing should be done either outside or in a building specially designed for that purpose. A blast shield (not shown here) should also be in place during pressing operations. |

This press is powered by an air actuated hydraulic pump. The air actuated type of pump sure saves time and energy over that of a hand pump type. |

The H-Frame is adjustable, which comes in very handy when making different size rockets or drivers. |
