About the event
Fireworks Shooting Permit Tuesday (9/10) - Saturday (9/14)
The agenda will be a tribute to "The Westech Fireworks Manual". This is a 157 page compilation that covers every and all things fireworks...go figure! However we will focus on ground displays of many types. we will be using our imagination to make all kinds of spinning and twirling stuff. The hope would be to test devices through the week and remake prime devices for a Saturday show.
- Once settled in on site the first order of business will be to make black powder, stars and small comets. While pyro is drying we will then construct a 60 foot wide display fence. I will be suppling the material to do this and it won't take long.
- What you need to bring is any material you would need to build your devices. Any larger items especially aerial won't be shot until the end of the week. If you don't have anything, do not fret! I will be bringing all kinds of chems and materials. I have also asked Ron L. to make some various tubes ahead of time.
- Bring your own basic tools and materials would help a lot such as glue, string, cutting devices, etc.
- If you have 'dola frames or other pyro devices please bring or make them.
- Other things to bring if you have them laying around would be wooden dowels (usually by the 1/8th or 1/4" to fit inside of tubes), old rocket sticks, a couple square feet of 1/8 -1/4" plywood or luan.
- We can decide on what kind of shelter we want to use, either our own pop ups to use and share and/or one or two of the club tents.
- There may be some long days for this so bring your own food and drink for the week. I feel setting up daily pot luck will take away from build time. If someone wants to you won't get argument from me.
